This week in Medieval Scottish History – 25 April 1264

 
Roger de Quincy, earl of Winchester and constable of Scotland, died. By his first marriage to Helen, daughter of Alan, lord of Galloway, he had three daughters – Margaret, Elizabeth/Isabel, and Helen – who were his only heirs. Upon his death, his vast estates were divided among their husbands.
